Ida Cole Fiant, Daughter of Hannah Lincicum (Virtual Graves)

 

Ida was born about 1868 in Indiana.
She died 19 March 1907 in Cherokee County, Kansas.
Burial was in an unmarked grave at Galena Cemetery in Galena, Cherokee County, Kansas.


Ida was a daughter of Hannah Lincicum (1840-1907) and Joseph Cole (1837-1916).  Ida married Francis Oliver Fiant (1859-1942) sometime after the death of his first wife, Flora May Clark, which was in November 1888. Charley Fiant, in the image below dated 1909, was the son of May and Francis. Ida and Oliver were listed as husband and wife for the 1900 Walnut, Crawford County, Kansas, US Federal census, taken June of that year.

Ida and Francis did have one child together, Joseph Francis Fiant, born about 1904, before Ida's untimely death in 1907 caused by tuberculosis.

Death at Shaw Hill
Mrs. Ida Fiant, aged 39 years, died Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the home of her mother, Mrs. Hannah Cole, at Shaw Hill. Death resulted from tuberculosis. Deceased is survived by a husband, F. O. Fiant, and three year old son. The funeral services conducted by Rev. Carey, took place at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was made in Galena cemetery.
